Fireman's Day and Warped Tour

Hahaha. Fireman's Day...Always fun. Especially when you only stay for about a half hour like we did. We got a ride then stayed long enough to realize we didn't know anybody there and then left. Of course it was as we were leaving that we ran in to Marc and Vero, so we chatted with them for a bit, which pretty much consisted of Marc and I talking about how incredibly cheap I am and Meg and I pretending that we were long lost lovers who hadn't seen each other in years.

From there we made our way to the mall where Meg bought the three of us (herself, Elizzy and I) drinks, and a bag of chips she didn't even want. Why? I do not know. Sitting the mall, drinking we discovered Elizzy can't make that cool noise by blowing in to her bottle. We laughed at her a little, while teasing her by being able to do it ourselves. Oh hahaha. The joys of friendship.

We then started walking the half hour or so back to my house, only stopping once. Then when we got back we watched Shaun of the Dead and the Breakfast Club (which Meg had never seen. Uncultured wench).

Elizzy and Meg both slept over because of the following day, where we would be leaving early to get to Warped Tour. According to them I made us late, which is entirely possible but I didn't think it was me. Oh well, you can't have everything in life.

So yes, the next morning I made us late for when we were supposed to be meeting Amanda and Evan. By the time we got there and found them they had advanced in line so that they were in a fenced in section, which left us outside of the fence. The three of us had to cut in line by going in from behind and shoving our way through everybody. We had a few people get angry with us, but not many, which was good.

That left us in line with Matthew, Pat, Amanda and Evan. We played the Pokemon game and whatever else we did to amuse ourselves that I now forget.

By the time we got inside, we did not miss any bands like we did last year, which was most definitely a good thing. Instead we went around all the tents grabbing all the free stuff we could, which ended up being a lot. We also took down the times of playings and signings of the bands we wanted to see. It was nice.

Here are the bands we saw (from as little as 1 minute to a full set):
Circa Survive
The Confession
Big D and the Kids Table
The Spill Canvas
All Time Low
Amber Pacific (I heard them from the hill)
The Matches
Biffy Clyro
Coheed and Cambria
Paramore
Flogging Molly
Random Band from Nova Scotia
Cute is What We Aim For

And I believe that is it...

Bands we met are:
The Matches
Big D and the Kids Table
The Spill Canvas

I would also like to note, that Claudio Sanchez has awesome hair and a very cool guitar.

The best bands we saw during the day would have to be:
The Matches
Big D and the Kids Table
Coheed and Cambria (Meg's classmate person is on crack for saying they suck).

On another note, Meg and Elizzy managed to embarass themsevles in front of the CO&CA merch guy, who gave me a high five when I pointed out that they were still making fools of themselves even after he and I both pointed it out.

Then again, I managed to make some random CD vendor guy stalk us until we bought his CD.

Chris V also remembered Elizzy from Honda Civic tour, which was pretty intense.

There were only two bands this year who mysteriously didn't show up:
Daphne Loves Derby and Social Code. Both who we wanted to see.

After it all, we went out to Subway and talked to the guy behind the counter who'd gone to Warped Tour in Vancouver the year before and recognized the Electric stamps on our arms. I think we annoyed him a little too, maybe. But it was fun.

Overall, it was very much amazing and I can't wait to go back next year.

(no subject)

This journal is a memory.

A lost soul going through the torturous journey of finding its way.

This journal represents not what is, but what was.

What was lost, forgotten in the tides of changing time.

Lost never to be found again.

This journal is the love of all things passionate...

The living, yet unseen reminder of what it was like to feel.

This is a journal of love and loss.

Of experience both trying and advantageous.

This journal is why we keep going on as we do

Blissfully unaware of its guidance

Of it's pull on our very own lives.

It's significance and value is lost on us

As a soul is lost when the body has decayed.

We know it not

Yet it is always there

Watching.

Waiting.

Waiting for its time to come.

So yes, I'm not quite sure what to write as of right now , so I decided to start this off with a poem or story or...thing. I wrote it as a freewrite in a writing workshop...so it doesn't really have any meaning or anything...I just thought it was kind of cool. So yes, I believe I am now done my first entry. BOOYAH! Enjoy reading whatever it is this is. :)
